art to inspiration | jill ricci

art to inspiration is a collaborative project organized to bring exposure to the art community around the world. supal from chevrons & éclairs sends participants an image of an beautiful piece of artwork. we then take that image and let it inspire us to create something, whether it be a poem, an outfit, a meal, a craft or whatever! to sign up, visit this page.

needless to say i'm pretty gung-ho on this idea! usually it's the artists taking inspiration from the world in order to create artwork. but in this instance we take inspiration from what they create! this is what i'm always trying to tell people - art is amazing and inspiring and can feed the fire and creativity in us all!

this art to inspiration is inspired by the following artwork by jill ricci:

jill ricci. float. mixed media on canvas. 40x40 www.jillricci.com

i was so enthralled by the way the medallions in the image look like they are hanging from something! and since i have mobile obsession, that is what i chose to make based on this painting.

  3. I absolutely love this! I never would have thought of it to actually hang those up in circles, but seeing this makes me really understand how Ricci's painting inspired you to do this. Excellent!

I know this if off topic but I'm looking into starting my own weblog and was wondering what all is required to get setup? I'm assuming having a blog like yours would cost a pretty penny?
I'm not very web smart so I'm not 100% certain. Any tips or advice would be greatly appreciated. Cheers
