monday mail art for mervi

my dear friend mervi from my best friend jules, the brains behind the beauty of this blog has long deserved a gift from me in the mail. i pulled some of my favourite pieces from my shop and packed them up to send to her in helsinki. i love using a variety of materials in mail art. this time i used some wicked artchix cut-outs (from a wicked stamp store called "dangerously crafty") on the front to frame the address, and a magazine page on the back, with some living room themed black ink stamps.

you guys will find this hard to believe but if you've seen the stuff in my etsy shop...maybe you won't.

i really struggle to be this...broken down. when i create things they are clean and precise and crisp. mail art is more of a free for all so i have to tell myself not to worry about mess, imperfections and assymetry

  7. love this! such an interesting idea,i think the imperfections *referring to the top comment of yours, made it rustic,an edge, and making it unique as it is. thanks for sharing :) followed you :D and yeah its funny how both pretzels ( soft and crisp type) are called the same thing :)
